Here's a little GIF I created in After Effects. Before getting on the computer, I hand painted Mrs Fox and her bathtub with watercolours. Watercolours are great because they make everything look soft and gentle, and you can get really bright colours becaus the white of the paper shines through your illustration.
I'm always learning new things in After Effects. So after I made the GIF, I decided to play around with camera movement and apply some cool effects to the animation (such as noise on flat colours and a few bubbles). The next thing I will try is overlaying textures. Some paper texture would be good on thoses bubbles to make them fit the scene better.
I also added some melancholic rock music, which I was told suddenly turned the happy little fox into a middle-aged mother on the edge of a meltdown. I'd be curious to know what you think Mrs Fox is getting ready for.
